Andy and I have recently teamed up with Sam and Abby Porter of Porterhouse Productions and have been putting our heads together on some local events.
Sam asked if we would be interested in cooking a sample Paella for the chefs who will be cooking at the Paella in the Park event on August 6th in Clinch Park in Downtown Traverse City. The event features the seven Wineries of Old Mission teamed up with 7 local chefs who will be preparing 21 different paellas. As if location, food and wine weren’t enough, Blues Traveller rounds out the lineup as the evenings entertainment. Needless to say, the food portion of the event is sold out. Tickets for the music only portion of the evening are still available on the Brown Paper Tickets website.
In preparation of the paella madness about to ensue, we needed to all get together and season the pans. Thanks to Chateau Grand Traverse for hosting the party, and thanks to Abby Walton Porter for the Photos!
